Sorry for the rant - but really everyone needs to get the difference between what a poker room with millions can do and what I can do when I have to balance the books before I put any tournaments on ...
otherwise I might just take the $18,000+ I'm putting into the forum prizes etc this year ... and spend it on a WSOP seat or two for myself instead
cheers scrawnybob
Can I have a share in you?
I'm still lost as to what members are on about.
I'm happy with the rooms and games you have set up Bob.I don't come here for the games I come here because I enjoy reading what other poker players are playing and how they are doing.
This forum is the only one that I play in there games.Don't ask me why because I don't know. And I am a member of some big forums.
Everyone just sit back and relax let Bob do the worrying.
There are so many poker sites so many games that if your not happy playing the ones Bob provides there are plenty others you can join in.
if I ever get to the WSOP main event I'll spoof you for the entry to a $1500 WSOP event ;-)
the tournaments are as always a definate thing for the forum - but its a bit frustrating after all the work and alot of thinking to find the best solution which is never going to please everyone but on balance is an impovement on the last season
if for the single reason that the total games for the next 3 months is now 72 up from 48
I know we'll never get the time thing sorted - but members have to accept this is the problem with a 5+hr time difference
the games are pretty much all fixed - there arent really any major changes just additions of games - so I figured this would be popular
I'll be glad when the new series start and then everyone can get in the swing of it ;-)
cheers scrawnybob

I have stated in another post that i am easy. I definitely like the Pstars vs FTP. On the weekends is great for me, Others are not via my work hours. I'm not complaining, I will play when ever i am able to, And simply not play when i cant without a whimper. Bottom line you cant please the masses all the time so I'm going with the flow of it all what ever the outcome. I appreciate all your hard work scrawnybob.

I agree, I also really like the p-stars v full tilt thing, I have only deposited on full tilt but will play all the events (buy in, or freeroll) there that I can. I really appreciate all the thought and time you put into this forum and tournaments Bob, and hope you continue to do so

Besides lovemaking and singing in the shower, there aren’t many human activities where there is a greater difference between a person’s self-delusional ability and actual ability than in poker.
eg. on the US Open & Non US leagues they are are 50/50 mix of freerolls and buy-ins so while we like all forums will have issues with non members crashing the freerolls ...
its very unlikely that these sort of players who crash only freerolls only at one site will figure in the final leaderboard near the top ... yes its very frustrating that they mess it up collectively ... but individually they certainly wont win any leaderboard pirze money (as I will 100% have those verified before anyone gets paid out
However if freeroll only members play all the freerolls and do well in them its perfectly possible for the to be at the top of the leaderboard - so legit members freerollers are not at a disadvantage, obviously those that play buy-ins as well will be improving their chances ... the more games you play etc ... but you could equally do well playing the freerolls and buy-ins at one site
on the FullTilt v PokerStars Buy-in games equal number of games at each site and equal number of late / early games so this should be a pretty level playing field
hope thats a help
cheers scrawnybob

I really don't know because there is no reason for me to know. I'm a US player so I can't play in the non-US games. Aren't those games at times that would be very well for our friends accross the pond? I can certainly see that sites that welcome US players have games times that suit us players just fine. At those games I see players from around the world. The point I'm trying to make is that games that don't allow US players should have different scheduled times. That makes sense to me.
sure your always meet people around the world at the tournaments. that makes the tourneys so exciting. but true is non-us players have to get up deep in the night at 2 o 3 oclock GMT+1 for interesting league or forum tourneys. so tired they become easy catched fishes.
