i would have folded preflop ... i certainly wouldn't risk my tournament at that point with 10 high.

that said, anyone who min-raises preflop qualifies for moron status in my book.

IMHO I would say heads up (if its unraised or not massively raised) you generally need reasons to fold not reasons to call

the range preflop is much much wider - at the end of the day I think you more trying to catch out your opponent with exactly these sorts of hands that "luckily" hit than you are with strong hands - or your representing scare cards anyway - so then it really doesnt matter what you actually have

personally I love heads up ... Im just kicking myself that with a longer break before coming up against Al Noble I played very badly from the off -

juggling between doing a bit of work and making another coffee I'd have rather stayed in the same rhythm

first two or three hands I knew I'd not played right at all and although I escaped a couple of killer hands that felt wrong - I knew I wasnt going to get to the final table

Thanks Bob and sorry to spoil your bracelet chance. The cards were running well for me during our game.

I'm not sure what I beat with trip Jacks to win overall but suspect it was a big pair because of the almost instant call of my shove. Would love to know and sorry if it was a bad beat.

I would probably have played it the same way you did.

I would have been happy enough to get it in on the turn with top pair and a flush draw if it played out that way.

Can't see why you were called a donk at all.

The only bad play in this particular hand was by your opponent.
