You don't have to be on a team to play, but the season is over, so no more games until SB sets up next games, think he said something about Christmas/winter games? He always has individual prizes as well as team, so you can always play with or w/o team. Though hopefully, you'll be on a team wink.

definately just jump right in. a team isn't necessary. you can start out the season without being on a team and join one when you decide. the points you've accumulated will be tallied with your team. you can start your own team if you want. just do it properly. there is a specific thread that tells you how.
