Season II Team play discussions

are the Games in Season II still at 7pm EST ?
if so, its difficult to join or start a Team , because theres 2am here

as far as I remember, bob plans to put the game on sundays between the FTPvsPS games.

yep thats the plan - I'll be discussing the season II format / prizes and games etc with Carbon in the next few days

as soon as I have those and the total 84 games sorted for the next season of leagues I'll get the info up ...

in the meantime lets get team building ;-)

we need at least double the team leaders just to sort out all of our current team players ... this is why ideally I'd like to twist a few more arms of the current players to setup teams

this way we can get say 4 new leaders per existing 20 member teams to setup a team we will have the capacity to take in new members wanting to get involved ;-)

as I've mentioned before the admin is minimal (I post the passwords in teams that have 5+ members) and also if team "leaders" dont want to have too much to do then I will even admin their teams (approve those that request to join a team - on auto pilot first come first served basis if that helps)

otherwise you can approve & invite members yourselves - but thats about all there is to it really

much against my plan for season II onwards I've setup 9 new "caretaker teams" that I will sit on as the 11th non playing member / admin

I'd really hoped that more of the active members who have played in the season one would have got all the hints from in the password PM's and setup alot more teams ... we currently dont have enough even to cover the 20 members in each of the existing teams (that arent ones of mine) ... let alone getting the others in or being able to have easy spots for new team players

so in order to make sure I'm not letting down the members who are already in my "caretaker" teams (approx 60 members in 3 teams) it looks like the best solution under the circumstances is for me to setup a new load of season II (10 max teams) so that at least those members have an option of a home for season II onwards

I've sent out invites to all the members of my caretaker teams - somewhat randomly inviting them to one of the 9 new (10 max ember) caretaker teams I will oversee

(the season one teams I was caretakering have been deleted)

Other team leaders PLEASE DO NOT delete your season one teams ... I dont want to end up with orphaned members who get left high and dry because no-one has looked after them ... so please make every effort to encourage other active members of your old team to setup new season II teams ... and for those members of your old team who dont want to ... make sure they get looked after or at least not forgotten.

ie. If you know you have a second team option setup by one of your active members ... make sure they or you invite all your members to one or the other

This is why for the moment I want the old team lists to stay up - so I can go through the lists when I get time and see how many have been looked after, how many have setup additional teams etc etc ... so DONT delete the list

In terms of the invites I've sent out to my old members ...

You DONT have to join the team I sent you the invite for ... you can request to join ANY other team ... either one of mine or one of the other season II teams being run by another member ...

OR any member with 10+ posts can setup a new team
(ie the same requirement to play in a team or setup a team)

I can help with this if anyone needs more info than is already up in the forum

Please remember you can ONLY be in ONE team

also can team leaders really check members are NOT already in a season II team before they approve them ;-)

just to update everyone ... the old teams have been deleted to make things a bit easier to figure out

so now only the new teams are showing ... and you DONT need to put "(season II)" onto the end of any new teams that are setup
