Season II Team play discussions
hi,
i have 1 question- the ftps leagues calculated together with the TPT on carbon, or are there gonna be 3 leagues as following: (us/non us ) (ft/ps) (tpt)? if not- then what is the difference between "team scoring" and "team only"?
other than that, i think it will be a good idea of setting smaller teams. again, no one is guilty, no one knew...
but it could be better if you'd take a look at other forums/ experienced team play organizers rather than that salad in the first place.
instead, we are getting exactly there, but in our own pace- learning from our own mistakes
Cheers

TPT carbon and FT vs PS team scores will be kept separately. The TPT Carbon league will ONLY be team scores. The FT vs PS league will be tallied as team scores and individual scores. Two separate league scores.
hope that helps...

hi,
so in simplier words: 4kingpoker will have two different leagues. individual one and team play.
individual scoring will include the non us+ us open + FT vs PS = LEAGUE #1
team play scoring will be at carbon team play trophy + FT vs PS = LEAGUE #2
is that correct?

4 individual leagues as before.
2 scoring team points but are individual leagues.
No overall combined team scores other than for bragging rights.
Same as before without the US and NON US I believe.

I have only one ? Are the days going to remain the same. Carbon on a weekday & the FTP/PSTARS on the weekends.

leagues:
1. Carbon TPT league (team scoring)
2. FT vs. PS league (team scoring)
3. FT vs. PS league (individual scoring)
4. US Open League (individual scoring)
5. Non US Open League (individual scoring)
So technically 5 leagues because FT vs. PS is scored on both an individually and team basis...
I hope this helps more...

thanks stix it does help.
i join derringer to his question, as this is also a good time to be asking if the times for TPT games will change.
there were 39 people registered to the first game (buy-in i mean) and 21 people in to last one. so i wont take any guesses but with games starting at 19:00 pm carbon time, you are losing the majority of the UK players and the European as a whole.
so will there be any change with this issue this time?

times / days
timing & day for the Carbon TPT ... I'll be going for a middle time on Sundays for the team only league probably 4pm EST which would make it a practical time for both US and European members
as explained at the outset of the first TPT I went for a Wednesday at 7pm EST as a more suitable time for US because ...
60% of our members are US and at least that amount of our visitors are US
and with all the FTPvPS games already scheduled for Sundays (3pm/ 7pmEST) there wasnt enough of a gap between games to shoe horn in another game on Sundays
In the next season I will be moving the times of the FTvPS early and late games on Sunday to fit the Carbon TPT in the middle probably with the first FTPvPS game at 1pm EST ... then the TPT at 4pm EST and then the second FTPvPS game at 7pm ESTLast edited by scrawnybob; 08-27-2008 at 07:42 PM.

That sounds very reasonable. There's something for everyone there on a sunday

3hrs a game, no real overlaps, just heads down
