Default How to setup a New Team Play League Team

    hi all

here is the simple guide on how to set up a team go to the main team page ...

please note to setup a team (or join one) you must have 10+ decent posts in the forum
you can only be in or setup ONE team .... please see Team Play Rules

go to "quick links" on the green strip near the top of the forum pages

    then down to "social groups"

here is the shortcut to the groups page

there you will see the list of current teams

at the very bottom there is an option to "create new group" click that

then you will have a panel where you need to

    1) fill in a team name

    2) fill in you tream description - just anything you want to say about your team etc

    3) Group Type MUST be then set to MODERATED (or INVITE ONLY) BUT NOT public

    4) The you MUST tick the box which says "Users must join to view the content"

    5) Then hit save ... and your done

    Once you've setup a team ...

You can invite members to join your team (teams are a maximum of 10 members total)
by going to your team page (you can see your team on your profile page or via the main social groups page) and then at the bottom there is a link marked "Pending & Invited Members" and then invite and or approve (or reject) members from there

Passwords will be automatically posted (by me) in all team pages that have 5+ members

If members dont want to approve 9 more members (doesnt have to be done all at once - teams can build over time) - then PM me and I can admin your teams for you (by approving on a first come first served basis members who apply and have 10+ posts)

    cheers scrawnybob

There are two "team leagues". ONLY team players can play on Carbon in the Sunday afternoon game. You also would be representing a team in the Fulltilt vs Pokerstars league.

Default ONE team only & new teams

    hi

you can only be in ONE team for the team games - otherwise it makes the scoring pointless if one member scores for multiple teams

    new teams

at the moment we have a bunch of half empty 1-4 member teams - which means that I dont really want members with less than 50 posts setting up more teams that will only have a couple of members in

we really need to get the members from these small teams into fewer but fuller teams to make the competition more interesting

so please dont setup new teams if your not a really active and established member ;-)

but please join a team that is already up and running - we also need to co-ordinate shuffling the small teams after the last game in the current season

    cheers scrawnybob
