  1. #1

    Default How do you loose...

...against a pair of tens with

    -a flush draw
    -a straight draw
    -a pair of aces

    Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 25/50 Blinds (6 handed) -

    saw flop | saw showdown

    UTG (t2730)
    MP (t4100)
    CO (t1460)
    Button (t1110)
    Hero (SB) (t1330)
    BB (t2770)

    Hero's M: 17.73

Preflop: Hero is SB with A, 7
4 folds, Hero calls t25, BB checks

    Flop: (t100) 10, 8, J (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t100, Hero calls t100

    Turn: (t300) A (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t150, Hero raises to t1180 (All-In), BB calls t1030

    How can he call that?

    River: (t2660) 10 (2 players, 1 all-in)

    Total pot: t2660

    Results:
Hero had A, 7 (two pair, Aces and tens).
BB had 6, 10 (three of a kind, tens).
    Outcome: BB won t2660

I'm running bad, loosing every flip, and then this happens

looks like you got reamed. I would be so bummed that 1 heart did not show up for a nut flush draw!!! I did win with three 8's today against someone who had the pocket AA's.

On every flop, someone can have a three of a kind.

Ok, I have to ask. I don't normally make a big deal about spelling but since I see it spelled wrong more than right these days I'm starting to wonder...do people really think lose is spelled with 2 Os? Or is this some kind of joke that I am missing?

Also why do so many people spell ridiculous as "rediculous"?

    Am I missing something?

Not really a bad beat beat because after the flop he had the best hand. He called on the turn with second pair and a flush draw, which is gutsy but possible by some players. All I can say is TBSS and been there done that.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

first of all what type of tourny was this freeroll or micro sng. If BB doesnt have much at risk ie. didnt not invest much in the buy-in, they are going to call more often with marginal hands 2nd pair and/or chase the strt or flush.

Yes, the call was garbage but this happens frequently...
You must deal with that or stop playing poker.

You know thats why they call it poker . Somedays you lose with good hands other days you just dont lose. Insttead of dwelling on it just let it go.
