is not exactly a bad beat for you, because you was losing when no more bet action was allowed. A lucky turn put you ahead just that.
An unlucky river for you, but not a bad beat.

Now that just hurts! Reading your story I felt the anguish!

Quad 10s beat by quad Qs...on the RIVER!!! AHHHHHHH!

Most unfortunate! But that's poker, right?

Wow. Not really a bad beat, but its very tough luck there. Just a brutal way to go catching the 1 outer and then seeing the last Q fall. Not much you can do about it.

It is not a bad beat because you were dominated preflop and on the flop. A bad beat occurs when you are leading all the way to the river, and the river card gives your opponent the winning hand.
It is just unfortunate the way the hand played out - TBSS is the saying.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

    Default Cov ered

I think cov is right, when you are that deep into a tournament whats it hurt to let a hand go for the sake of not commiting all your chips. 3rd highest chip stack and I'm autofolding for a few. haha

Well that's interesting - I never knew that a "Bad Beat" was defined to be a total upheaval that took place at the river card.

Is there a name for the kind of thing described here?

    Other than "dammit".

Battling quads are pretty heavy duty.

Would gambling sites with their Bad Beat Jackpots not look sympathetically on this situation?

The only way this could be called a bad beat is if "idontblufmuch" won the hand. The "villain" had pocket QQ (the nuts) pre-flop. You had the lesser hand with pocket 10s. This is not a bad beat, just bad luck.
