Sorry about that Stix, did,nt mean to suck out on you. i was not playing the cards in my hand. i was playing the size of my stack. i did,nt want a call, i just wanted the blinds.
i have 1410, i can not blind down to 960. then i would have 3big blinds to play with.
i know it looks like a donk play. but at that point with my stack and the blinds at 300/150 a UTG shove is a good play. please think about it before you make me look bad in the fourm.

That was a tough break LStix. The thing i hate when this kind of play happens is the apology followed by the explanation to justify "The Suck Out"

Well we all hate it when we get sucked out on, and in LombardiStix position I would have felt the same at the time.

But then looking back at the hand I would have changed my mind. short stacked UTG an all in has to look strong and the likelyhood is everyone would fold. If you get called it's going to be a premium hand, so you have 2 live cards as they say . The hand history proves it can work.

khicks my friend, I'm not trying to make you look bad man. As I said in the original post it is therapeutic sharing. If it bothers you I will take it down. I appreciate you standing by your play. I just feel like this is what this forum is really for. Talking about REAL hands that happen between us. I cannot make you look bad by showing something that actually happened. no don't take it down. your right, it was a bad beat and its posted in the Bad Beat forum.
it just seemed like your intent was to say, look at this donkey play in a 4King tourny.
look at the some of the replys to this thread, thats the way people in the forum are reading it.

i don't have a problem with it. i just wanted everyone to know that this is not a bad play.
you need chips to stay alive in a tourny, and sometimes it gets to a point where its suck out or go home.

your post sparks a good discussion on short stacking. i hope it helps people that read this thread, and would love to hear what people have to say. i am not a great poker player by any means, but i stand by this play.

sorry to say i lost your chips a few hands later when my 10 10 was beat AQos, but i did get my money in ahead that time.
