Bad....but funny
OK...I'm in a Pokerstars 180-player sit-n-go hold'em game and through the first 75% of the game, I was doing very well, even holding first place for a good majority of the time.
Well, it's getting time for me to go to work and there are now 12 players left, so I am cashing, but I have my hopes on the top spot. I turn the reins of the game over to my daughter -9 years old - who plays very well.
I leave and get on my cell phone and I start "coaching" my daughter as I drive to work. She's on my wife's cell. Things are going well, I am in second place only a fistful of chips behind. Now, I need to stop for gas so I tell my daughter that I will hang up and talk to her again in a few minutes...my advice to her, "play smart." After gassing up, I call her back as I am on the road once again. I hear a sad tone in her voice and discover that my chipstack is GONE.
Finished 6th. Here is what transpired in those few minutes: AA is dealt to me...my daughter instinctively calls an all-in bet from another player. The other player has 22. The flop comes, A 2 2!!!!!!!!!
Aces full house goes down to 4 deuces- GAME OVER. I congratulated my daughter on a well-played finish and told her that I would have played it the same way.

Your daughter played that hand very well, the rest was up to the poker gods.
Only 9yrs old, I think thats great that you can trust her to play for you.
Sounds like she may be heading to poker stardom.

Is it?
Is it a good idea to let a 9 year old play cards for money?
I dont think so.

That is a horrible beat. It ceases to amaze me how so many people make it to final tables and play so bad. The good thing about that is that you will win in that spot more often than not, so cheer up and congrats on the cash.
When at the tables, play for the love of the game and show respect for your opponents.
