Computer outage at worst times..

I,d call it a bad beat. I,m in Ottawa Canada and I often see U.S. players from the Hurricane alley hoping they don,t have their power hit. lol But i was just playing 2 games on AP and Carb. I had a 6-10 str8 flush and one player ALL IN at the final table when my computer froze up hard. I had the NUT hand and started cursing.
It has happened before but not in such a crucial winning hand. I tried ALT-CRTL-DEl with no success. I waited a bit because i didn,t want to do it because it may come back and i had the winning hand.I didn,t work, So i tried the power down button of my computer which had no success. It was frozen so tight. Anyone have similar experiences. ??
So i finally had to Unplug the power source manually from the actual wall to free my computer. I came back online after about 10 minutes and finished the tournament in 3rd place but I was TILTING like crazy. In my other game the blinds ate my stack to death and i didn,t place.
Damn frustrating ...

I have been in the middle of a MTT when my internet provider Comcast decides to come out for routine maint. I actually ran outside the 1st time and explained to the guy I had joined a real $ trny and he actually said well I can take my 30 min lunch break and then cut the power for a few. He came back an hour later and had his supervisor show up so he had to cut it off with somewhere near 50 ppl left. I swore I would never play a trny during the day hours again. Wanna talk about being pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That really does sukk the big one. Does the internet company not warn of a scheduled maintenance ?? I,m with a very small internet provider(DSL though) who piggy banks on the Bell phone lines. These 2 guys get to work at home though but their so great.
I mean I had my computer apart trying to wedge a RAM card i bought into the slots and this guy spent 90 minutes on the phone with me as the card has to fit so perfectly and then update the Comp. S/W to recognize it, But thats why i go with this small internet provider. You can,t beat the service.

If you continue to have problems with your service, it may be time to get a faster processing computer or change your internet provider. I get pissed often when I get disconnected from the online room's server as is. It has happened on a couple occasions where I have been in cash games or in the deep stages of a tournament where my internet had gone out and needless to say, it has cost me a lot of money
