Do lucky charms / hats work ?

Does anyone have "lucky" charms / hat etc when they're playing poker ?

Or a routine they have to go through before playing poker ?

Just curious - some pro's have lucky oranges, glasses, hats, ways of wearing hats etc

I have a "lucky" chip which I have grown strangely attached to but I know it doesn't possess magical properties yet wouldn't want to play poker without it ...

just think how much more unlucky I could be without it goes my stupid logic

anyone else have a lucky charm etc

i think it will defently work its yust more cofident about you hands and you will think twice before you call its a mentality to have 1 you probly would thinkits the carm buts you playiing better with it:P

Well, I make sure i have some chips or a sandwich within reach... I like to much when under pressure haha

well i do have something i play with my car keys when i play.....and it seems i get lucky usualy when i don't play with them i lose like a crazy......don't know but my keys are lucky

I am sports psychologist student and the answer to the question is yes and no!! Technically they have no bearing on the outcome of anything, lucky charms do alter anything. However the way and style you do anything does change in the absence of them. In order to do anything to the best of your ability you need to be comfortable. So if people feel comfortable with hats/charms/etc etc then they will play, I know high level athletes that have routines and charms that they have to have or stick or they freak out (literally), silly things like the order they get changed.

Charms do not ave any sort of mystical powers that will give you that killer flop etc but they do affect how people play. If top guys have things like that they cant play without, Sam Farha has the ciggerette and he doesnt even smoke.
