Bad Beat at Pokerstars....
What a sob story this is:
few days ago while playing 50c $1 limit, the pictured hand occurred.
If i'd been playing at my usual site (AP), I woulda hit for a bundle.
I did win the hand but what a bad deal that PS doesn't have a BB JP.
The guy with the quad Qs left after the hand saying 'If I can't win with 4 Queens, I need to take a break'. Oh what a day he woulda had at AP.
Which takes me to the real heart of this post, which is, since PS doesn't hav a BB JP, it kinda makes me want to go back to AP. You would think that they'd offer at least some kind BB JP just to make sure regular players don't leave for a site that does.Last edited by scrawnybob; 12-08-2009 at 10:03 AM.

You said something very important right there: there is a strong need for a BB JP on some poker clients around the web. I myself have been beaten a few times with similar hands.
Thing is - and this might sound a little too conservative -, the guy should have never gone all the way. I mean, if you look at it, he did not have quad Qs before the river. It would be advisable to fold in the presence of the two kings, depending on what the other player did.

Ahahahaha right! Regular cash players on PS will leave for AP just because they have a silly Badbeat jackpot. This made my day. Trust me, they make a lot more from supernova and PS's other promotions. They won't pay that stupid rake just to pray they can lose with quads... NEVER! (I'm talking about regs..)

Hahaha... But seriously, this 'bad beat' could have been avoided. A different story would have happened if the Ks on the table had appeared on the last two turns. But the guy kept on going with 2 Ks around. I myself would have folded before getting to the river card.

Yes really. That would be one hell of a laydown.I don,t think there is any escape from that hand.Maybe they don,t have a bad beat jack pot because the site S/W hands bad beats like this all the time. ?

I like the idea of Pokerstars having a BB Jackpot but would it really be worth the time, effort and money involved to create a jackpot that never rises above $3?
