I too have noticed that the table big stack seems to win a lot of showdowns with stupid draws, but maybe they're big stack because it's just their day luck wise!

The theory does not hold true ...The fact is that a big stack has less to lose and is more likely to call with a draw and if he loses then it costs very little in relation to his/her stack whereas a small stack is less likely to do so because of the large proportion of chipstack lost if he/she fails to hit.

Isn't it said that in statistics and politics you can spin them to say anything you want people to believe.

It's like that in online poker anyone can find a hand or a series of hands, wins, bad beats etc to prove or at least give a little weight to their opinion.

Online poker has probally got more people participating than any other game or sport out there.

I just read a stat yesterday, PokerStars had their 25 Billion Hand Promotion last year the 25 Billionth hand was dealt on Feb 16 2009. The 40 Billionth is going to be dealt in the next day or so. That is 15,000,000,000 dealt in a year, in that amount of hand anything and everything will have happened.
