This was the $32Kguarantee on Fulltilt ($26doublestack donkament).
This was one of my many $26 tickets that went to waste & another example of how they all ended up playing out (had others where my stack was deeper... guy in HJ raises 2.5x.. I shove 22bb's on BTN with AKs.. he snaps me off with QTo sitting on 35bb's).
QJo & QT proved to be my nemesis as I went to the rail vs. those hands a handful of times (other times getting it in as an 80/20 KK < 66, AA < TT, QQ < 88, etc.). The nature of MTT play. I've been running real bad on Fulltilt though lately - - making fairly deep runs (ie. getting close to bubble), then "POOF", getting it in great & getting donked. Not a real big deal when playing on a 50buyin bankroll but on that site my roll was getting very low... more soul crushing then.

I have to say, they're terrible calls by your opponents.
I don't really understand how they can call.
My only explanation would be that they are higher stakes players having a bit of fun???
I have shoved AK myself and lost to JQo but I still don't understand how you can call (almost) all in with that hand in an MTT.
Fair enough, AK isn't ahead of much but QJ, how can you even think you're ahead?
It's almost like calling with live cards and hoping to get lucky.
They don't think they think they are ahead but I think they are hoping to be about a 55:45 dog at worst, and if that's the case, it isn't a terrible call. Frankly, shoving like that is a play I dislike with that much money behind you. You've lost the ability to play the hand postflop. Yes, you got it in with the best hand. But if you raise, get called and the flop misses your opponent, you have the opportunity to c-bet and knock your opponent out of the pot. Would he have folded with a gutshot and two overs? I don't know.
But I've got just under 16bb's ^ ??
Are you suggesting to call... and see a flop 4way out of pos. with AK here?

No. I think he meant make you could make a considerable raise still. But not forcing him basically ALL IN. Then after the flop you still have enough chips to fire a Big C-bet raise to hopefully force him out. But as you say the 50 ct large MTT players don,t fold easily.

Stack is nowhere near deep enough to raise with here & have anything left behind... & there's more than one other opponent to consider here... & I am not the last one to act.
Incidentally, I'd be shoving here even if I had 25bb's... probably even with 30 in this spot (so would any tourney reg.,.. not that I am one... but do try to play accordingly)
