Multiple Bad Beats...
Ok, bear with me on this one cause it's quite a long post.
Table1:
I'm playing two 4.40 SnG tourneys at the same time on PS. One table, i'm dealt As Ac. I raise 4x BB, all fold except one. Flop comes Ah 9h 4d, board having two hearts on I raise to pot to try and scare any flush draw off which he may have. The guy shoves, after thinking I call and he shows 9c 9d. Flop throws another 4
full boat for me ... river throws the last 9 in the deck and gives him the nuts. I was quite up at the time so this put me to a little over half chips.
Table2:
On the other table at the same time, i'm dealt Kh Qh, again I make a raise, one in the pot with me with a flat call. Flop throws Kd Qs 3h, flop two pair. Make the raise, he calls, turn 6h. Raise again, he re-raises this time, so being in good stand i make the call. River throws 9h.
two pair turned to the flush
. I raise, he re-raises, so i raise back again and he shoves. Surely he couldnt have the A high flush?!?! I call, he shows Ah 5h :S WTF??? Again was up in chips before so this put me to about a third of my stack.
Table1:
Back at the first table, the very next hand i'm dealt Ks Kd. I raise, some guy come's back over the top of me, so I shove being short stacked. He calls and shows Kc 4d. This guy had shoved quite a few times before to blind steal in position etc.
Flop lays down 5s 6d 3s, turn 10s, river 2c giving him the nut straight and busting me out of the tournament on that table.
Table2:
Again the very next hand after the two pair were beat I get pocket 7's, decide to limp in on this one, two players in the pot. Flop throws 8 6 8, river 2, turn 8. Idiot with A 2 takes the pot with Ace kicker. Not a bad beat per se and I did play this one very badly but, still...
Table2:
This one was two hands after the one mentioned above. Cards dealt AK. Raised pre-flop, one caller. Flop A K 10, idiot shoves. I'm short stacked so call. Player shows J 2 off. Turn lays down a black and river throws the queen to give him the nut straight.
Just pisses me off, to have so many bad beats in succession, i'm sorry but evidence or no evidence, something smells fishy!Last edited by Asbestross; 08-16-2010 at 08:04 PM. Reason: Typo :s

Oh just gets better and better.
Started a new 4.40 SnG 20 Table. First hand, i'm on BB, and limp in with 10 7 suited. Flop lays down 7 10 7...so raise it up, button calls, turn lays a King, at this point I shoved hoping he'd caught two pair or something. He calls, and shows pocket kings (idiot limped with kings). River throws a 10 giving him kings over tens!
WTF just seems like PS does not want me to play at all, just today i've probably seen 20-30 bad beats

As in real life, there are days when nothing works

But on the otherhand we also have days when nothing can go wrong
Unfortunately we almost never mention them

Yea guessing it was just a bad day lol
Today managed to nearly double my bankroll at cash tables; loving the endless string of boats and flopped four sets of quads too
So meh, you have good days you have bad days. Just glad that the bad beats happened at tournament tables and all I lost was the buy in

I've had lots of days like that also, but sometimes I have days were I win hands like that. Also, its not just online, I've been playing some live poker (slot casinos in DE just added live tables, and poker tourneys
), and just a couple days ago, I saw A A lose 3 times in less than an hour. Online poker still bothers me sometimes, though I think its because players fold less online. Lots of times I here people say they folded the winning hand during live play but they folded it. Seems like a lot more people online play looser and chase more.

My mistake, it threw the Ace not deuce :s (was late when i wrote that post lol)
And yea Mad, people are far more willing to chase online, to the point where they literally put their hopes and majority of their stack onto a runner runner turn/river. Pathetic play, but always seems to pay off for them. Just love the play when it does, and there's me sitting there with a flopped full house hahaha gotchya
Still bugs me though how people are soo willing to get all their chips into the middle pre-flop with mid pairs. Am I missing something there???
