I'd say this one's pretty sick...
Here's a particularly sickening beat today in the xxxxxx tourney (generally ALOT of good players... some of them VERY GOOD.. but of course with some huge fish in the mix too).
(postin' this one for the snoopsters68, aka peach68 here on CC)
Player read on villain...
Loose f'n donkey, clueless re position, huge calling station mtt roi -62% w an avg. buyin ~$20. Hero has been playing solid Late Level MTT poker, stacking off an opponent a few orbits ago after flopping fullhouse & value bet them to the river & got paid in full.
Rest of the table is quite solid, winning players... although one to the left is loose & fishy & coldcalls ALOT.
~45 players left, Top27 paid, sitting in in the top10 in decent shape but w only around 32bb's... HERO wakes up w KK!
Blinds 200/400
Villiain (CO) 11,048
HERO (BTN) 12,846
SB 15,297
BB 11,858
folded to villain....
Villain raise to 1,000
HERO 3bets to 2,800
Villain calls
Flop (6,650) 5h-4c-7c
Villain 'checks'
HERO bets 3,500
Villain crai 8,248
HERO calls 4,748
Villain shows (Kd-4d)
HERO shows (Ks-Kh)
Turn 5h-4c-7c [4s]
River 5h-4c-7c 4s, As
Villain wins 23,416
How sick is that? To go deep in it (1st paid out $466 as there was $ added) & then have some total fishbag flat call a 3bet out of pos. when stacks are of the size (20-30bb) where they're obv. getting it in if they're 3betting at this point of the tourney. Then he actually figures he's got fold equity on the crai w BPGK?? (when hero's getting 5to1 on the call... in other words they're calling here even if they've wiffed with AK).
Just sooooo sick. This one was a real shocker (esp. after seeing the majority of the play in the tourney prior to this spot)
