Default I'd say this one's pretty sick...

Here's a particularly sickening beat today in the xxxxxx tourney (generally ALOT of good players... some of them VERY GOOD.. but of course with some huge fish in the mix too).
(postin' this one for the snoopsters68, aka peach68 here on CC)
    Player read on villain...
Loose f'n donkey, clueless re position, huge calling station mtt roi -62% w an avg. buyin ~$20. Hero has been playing solid Late Level MTT poker, stacking off an opponent a few orbits ago after flopping fullhouse & value bet them to the river & got paid in full.
Rest of the table is quite solid, winning players... although one to the left is loose & fishy & coldcalls ALOT.
~45 players left, Top27 paid, sitting in in the top10 in decent shape but w only around 32bb's... HERO wakes up w KK!
    Blinds 200/400
    Villiain (CO) 11,048
    HERO (BTN) 12,846
    SB 15,297
    BB 11,858
    folded to villain....
    Villain raise to 1,000
    HERO 3bets to 2,800
    Villain calls
    Flop (6,650) 5h-4c-7c
    Villain 'checks'
    HERO bets 3,500
    Villain crai 8,248
    HERO calls 4,748
    Villain shows (Kd-4d)
    HERO shows (Ks-Kh)
    Turn 5h-4c-7c [4s]
    River 5h-4c-7c 4s, As
    Villain wins 23,416
How sick is that? To go deep in it (1st paid out $466 as there was $ added) & then have some total fishbag flat call a 3bet out of pos. when stacks are of the size (20-30bb) where they're obv. getting it in if they're 3betting at this point of the tourney. Then he actually figures he's got fold equity on the crai w BPGK?? (when hero's getting 5to1 on the call... in other words they're calling here even if they've wiffed with AK).
Just sooooo sick. This one was a real shocker (esp. after seeing the majority of the play in the tourney prior to this spot)

That is sick. Villain says but they were Sooted. Maybe villain catching a 4 on such a weak flop was thinking or hoping the Hero was Betting an Ace-King? Like you have said the maniac or weak players are the scariest. And what were they thinking !!

I thought about that ^ scenario (villain figures HERO has AK & has wiffed)... few things don't add up for that though.... why in the hell would they call out of pos. with a clearly HUGELY dominated hand (actually, any hand that is 3-betting like this in this spot is an obv. monster)... also... if HERO had AK and were checked to here they'd likely shove the flop because they'll have pot committed themselves with any bet..... and... villain's check-raise allin < he has no fold equity.

Default not your fault ... but

    hi

just a heads up for everyone just posting hand histories direct from HH sites

please please DONT post them here with all their links in ... for them its easy way to get links etc for all their pages and also for bonuses offers etc ... but for us its just irritating that they get rewarded for laziness which is a bit spammy - if I tried it on their site they would delete them

please remove bonus page links and any other links

also alot of the other links were broken - again which reflects badly on our site

so please check and edit these sorts of posts before posting - thanks

    cheers scrawnybob

    That's just horrible!!

Villain is obviously not thinking about Hero being pot committed and is probably just praying by some miracle that their hand is ahead.

Ah sorry scrawnybob, i'll bear that in mind in future

For some reason it didnt show my opponents hand :S I was MP2, my opponent was UTG. And he won with A 8 offsuit

I knew exactly where he was at, just tried my best to get him off the hand.

Originally thought he was chasing the flush hence the shove on the turn; didnt want him getting a free card. But as it happens the game dealt him the third 8 to beat my queens.

Very very bad play on his part he called a substantial raise pre with A8 off, called a raise on the flop with no hit, and no flush draw, and an all in shove with second pair on the turn.
