    Default Wow wtf!?

Ok, so i just busted outta 12$ SnG on PS with what would have to be the monster of all bad beats.

About 20 hands into the tournament, i'm sat on BB with KhAh, all but SB fold who makes a min raise. I re-pop to 7x BB and he flats.

Flop lays down Jh 10h Qs ... flopped straight with nut flush and royal flush draw too

He shoves on me, and I insta call ... showing him the bad news. He flips over 8s9s unlucky lower straight. But wait ....

Turn throws 10s, river Js giving him a straight flush

He had me covered on stack and bye bye i'm gone

    I feel dirty

WOW, it does not get much worse than that! What could he have been thinking when he called pre flop?
You can lead a horse to water, but a Donkey will chase you to the river.

Wow, just checked the odds calc. and was surprised he had %4.55 shot of winning. I expected even lower. Still, terrible beat. That's the problem with big hands early. I assume level 2 (20 hands in) so 7X BB still isn't a lot compared to stack size, a lot of players are in love with suited connectors (too often I fall into this category), though I'd say a pretty bad call being heads up, I like suited connectors with more players in the hand. Anyway, I hate runner runner badbeats, that was tough.

That's hard, I run into suited connectors every now and then too.
There are many players which just love to call flat with them and hope for turn and river.

It is frustrating but if you know these players a bit, you can profit aswell.

I have a similar story, from a cash game, 2c5c blinds. I had a-k suited (I think clubs). Flop was Q-10-J, 2 clubs. I am in position, I think. Check to me, I bet the pot (which was around 50cents I think), and the dude snap raises me all in. I call, instantly, and he turns over 8-9 off. I did not lose, however, I rivered the nut flush, which brought another Q to make possible. I made like 4 or 5 bucks from that one hand. That is why I don't play suited or unsuited connectors OOP. Food for thought. Peace.

I was thinking the same thing. The Blinds must have been small for him to call a 7xBB re-raise.But he did catch the str8 on the flopp too so he must have felt he was ahead at that point and then no way you could push him off it.
    very unlucky
