Finished work early this morning, just went out for a walk on a beautiful sunshiney day, thinking to myself on my way back up the steps to home - "Wow, it's so beautiful out today. Do I really want to strap myself to that computer chair & grind out a bunch of Tourneys this afternoon? (as was the plan). I guess so. Just seems crazy though. (it's usually grey outside here for Jan., Feb. & most of March, socked in with low clouds, snowing or raining or just 'grey').
Just about to reg. for a handful of MTT's (8 to get started, see how we do before adding anything else).
Play one hand in this Titan tourney (a priv. decent cash one). Raise it up UTG w 99.. everyone folds.
Few hands later we get 44 in HiJack. Tight player in UTG1 opens 3x (notes on him, tight player 'TAG').. we 'call' w 44... guy in CO also 'calls' (CO is a rookie... could be calling real wide here).
We get a dream flop, hitting our set (8:1 odds of that happening, great to see it this early in the game!!!.... seems like some days I can setmine & strike out dozens of times) but with two clubs on the board.
UTG1 leads out with a 1/2 pot cbet. Hmm.... thinking he might have AK but does seem a tad on the small side considering there's two clubs on the board & it's 3-way but fairly dry flop aside from flush draw obviously. Question here is.. do we raise (& how much) here?.... UTG1 might be cbetting with air here... raising will win us a small pot if he can't continue... 'but' if he doesn't have something like AK we're not going to get paid off much anyways.... hmm.... no timer.... I'll just call. CO calls as well.
Another club on the turn... not what we wanted to see. On the flop we were thinkin' of ways to get as much money in as poss.,.... now... hmmm. UTG 1 again fires 1/2 pot. Really looks like he's got something like AK with the Ac in his hand (does he fire here with AcQc? I decide to raise.... he 4bets... hmm... meh.. I"m allin & he calls.
Not sure what he was putting me on there? (villain shows AcAd)
meh.... can't figure out how to post the screenshot... sigh![]()
