This was a sick beat for sure here. Personally I don't ever do the Limp-Reraise thingy from EP with AA.. just because I feel it's super transparent (unless of course you're doing this same thing with other hands in your range... ie. AK). With stacks this deep & it being soooo early, to come over the top & get it allin & still have the guy call???!?!?! WOW.. that's unreal!
DanAbs. When stacks are really deep in comparison to the size of the blinds then yes.. the value of our big prs. goes down & the value of suited connectors & spec. hands goes up. Reason being is > you stand to win some BIG pots with the speculcative hands when they hit (for the simple fact that many players cannot get away from big overprs. &/or TPTK type hands). Later in the game when stacks are only say 20-40bb's deep then the big prs. are KickAzz!! (because at this stage of tourneys we're looking at alot of preflop play where you'll see a raise.. a 3bet.. then a 4bet shove (or 3bet shove) & a call (or reshove), etc. Here the suited connectors & spec. hands are pretty much unplayable in many cases (depends though on a bunch of stuff... but just wanted to try to briefly explain the value of big prs,.. when & why).
