Figured I'd put an actual badbeat in this thread. Wasn't on me but I was involved. Desperation time, I get K J, so I pust my measly stack hoping the tight table folds, instead I get a call then a reraise allin, first caller calls. reraiser has QQ, other guy has JJ. Flop has a K, which I see first and get excited until I then see that the only J in the deck also came on the flop. QQ had to be a huge fav here and ends up being worst hand of the three.

Maybe I should put this in the rigged thread. Playing daily doubles on FT tonight, first of all, saw 3 quads in first half hour (I had one). But this is the hand that drove me crazy. I'm first to act and get A A. Play has been wild and aggressive. We are an hour and half in btw blinds 60/120. I decide to limp, since there hasn't been a limp flop that i noticed, and sure enough I get a min raise right before button, button reraises to over 1000, I push (had over 5000), orig. min raiser thinks about it, then calls (had close to 3000), button calls immed. Button had K K, other guy turns over 6 7 s. Are you kiddin me. Of course flop has a 6. River another 6, idiot wins.

The one Outer Jack is a bad beat for sure. But everytime i get dealt a Big hand at Fullt Tilt it makes me very nervous.I just don,t trust the Big hands and always feel I,m getting set-up.It seems all my Big Hands get beat there.

That hand looked so familiar and sickening to me! That is very ugly and is one of the reasons why i do not slow play my Aces anymore because i been burned a gazillion times behind it,lol . Although it does feel good when it does work though

The thing is though, I was allin preflop, so you could say I slow played but I got it allin pre and the 6 7o only had 240 of his 3000+ stack committed, so I gotta believe he was callin no matter.

Ouch that was a sick beat. I got beat by a 1-outer yesterday too in Omaha. Had KKA3 and hit a full house on the flop with 33K and i check and they pet the pot so thats when the raising began and eventually was all-in they turn over AAxx and of course the A came on the river lol.

Then you're talking to the wrong ones (imo).

This was a sick beat for sure here. Personally I don't ever do the Limp-Reraise thingy from EP with AA.. just because I feel it's super transparent (unless of course you're doing this same thing with other hands in your range... ie. AK). With stacks this deep & it being soooo early, to come over the top & get it allin & still have the guy call???!?!?! WOW.. that's unreal!

DanAbs. When stacks are really deep in comparison to the size of the blinds then yes.. the value of our big prs. goes down & the value of suited connectors & spec. hands goes up. Reason being is > you stand to win some BIG pots with the speculcative hands when they hit (for the simple fact that many players cannot get away from big overprs. &/or TPTK type hands). Later in the game when stacks are only say 20-40bb's deep then the big prs. are KickAzz!! (because at this stage of tourneys we're looking at alot of preflop play where you'll see a raise.. a 3bet.. then a 4bet shove (or 3bet shove) & a call (or reshove), etc. Here the suited connectors & spec. hands are pretty much unplayable in many cases (depends though on a bunch of stuff... but just wanted to try to briefly explain the value of big prs,.. when & why).
