6 to one, half a dozen to another. This is a good point Madjek. But he calls a raise with J-2 suited. Then he is OOP, UTG post flop. All he did was whif the flop, and immediately pushes all in. But he is going to flop HU, and there is a 68% chance his opponent totally missed the flop. Villain just took a stupid risk here.
If I was the villain, and I held J-2s, but I lost the hand - what would you say if I posted the HH? Here I am, call a min raise with J-2s on the BB. Catch bottom pair on the flop, push all in, but I don't suck out, I lose. What would you guys say about my play then? I am just curious.
Villain was behind here until the river. I just think villain is a loose and wreckless player, and it is irritating that he sucked out. I mean, come on J-2 suited, out of position???? I would not even call a min raise with that. I don't think that is particularly tight to fold your BB to a raise with J-2 suited. It is a garbage hand.
The way I look at it, tournies are a survival test. Even if it's only a min raise, you can't call and throw away your money every time, just because you paid the BB. Sometimes, you just have to limit your losses, and fold your BB. How many times, in reality, do you think it would be profitable to call a min raise on the BB with J-2 suited? You are going to lose alot of chips if you call min raises in the blinds with garbage. Just let 'em go.
This is all my opinion here. I am not trying to say anyone else is wrong (including the person I quoted). I just wanted to put my thoughts out there. Peace.
