Default Bad beat or just unlucky

Not posted a bad beat for a while so here goes

SB bets 1,612.00 and is all-in, Hero calls 1,612.00

SB shows 9s 7s (Straight Flush, Jack High) (PreFlop 37%, Flop 49%, Turn 2%)
Hero shows Tc Jh (Full House, Jacks full of Tens) (PreFlop 63%, Flop 51%, Turn 98%)
    SB wins 5,424.00

I wonder if I had pushed on the turn or made a larger bet would he have folded ?

When he pushed on the river I knew he had a Flush so I'm very happy to call, Didn't expect the straight flush.

Any other spade but the 8 on the river

    IMO you made 3 mistakes:

    1. What were doing playing the hand in the first place? Is JTo really a hand to play pre-flop (contrary to what many people think, I wouldn't play it).
    2. You should have made a bigger bet on the flop - you gave him the odds to call.
    3. Ditto on the turn.

But he still might have called even without pot odds.

By not playing the hand you would have saved a bundle.

A mistake made in the past is not as important as the lesson learned from it.

I don't mind playing JTo but to open limp is just asking for trouble.
99% of the time if your first to enter a pot, raise.

Why do we ever want him to fold on the turn? If you can bet (or bet a bit more) to get more value.. then by all means do it.
I don't particularly like the 'small' turn bet because I think it looks a bit suspect. I'd either bet a bit more (600'ish') 'or' check back turn hoping to get more value on river.
it's just unfortunate that villain hits the miracle card obv.
(considering altering our play based on this, is results-oriented thinking imo. You've got a monster.. get the most value for it whatever way you see possible).

Preflop, I probably just fold. If stacks of players yet to act were a bit deeper I'd be more likely opening with a raise to ~500. Here I wouldn't though as I'm pricing myself in vs. LP stacks that should often be shoving. (< obviously also depends upon player reads though)

    Default Jt?

Well if I was gonna play j10 I would raise if not fold limping there is just a losing play I think. But everything else is just a cooler and plays itself

So you guys actually like a raise pre in this spot then?
I hate it! We have 4 SS's (short resteal stacks... but actually so short they're not even resteal stacks as we're pricing ourselves in if they choose to shove over our raise). Doubt I wanna raise/fold here... & know I don't wanna raise/call either.

In the context of a single hand I myself would normally fold 10J off in the position I was in. However in this case I'd already folded 15 hands in a row and decide I needed to do something.

A raise would have been better as I'd probally have take the hand preflop with a tight image. Again post flop should have bet more. However saying that 99 times out of 100 I'd have won with the boat and been in a better spot to go for a win.

At PS you have to try things differently as you do get intresting flops.

You say u normally fold this hand...well good but if you're gonna play it do it correctly since u have a tight image. Raise preflop and def. raise turn, no need to slow play cause as u can see it can make u very unlucky. Not a bad beat just unlucky imo because both where hands that didn't need to be played but were made something out of nothing.
