MinRaise (or slightly higher than min-raise) is going to be your standard/typical raise size by most of the players who play alot online (live mtt play has moved this direction as well).
with 26bb's I'd personally never be 3-betting in this spot (we're not deep enough) & yah.. our bet pre isn't big enough.
Think ahead in the hand (with 'bet-sizing) ie.,.. if we raise & villain calls, how big will the pot be & how much will we have left in our stack (this will help us to size our bets better preflop & on flops so we're not left with awdward stack sizes).
If we're 40bb's deep I'd consider 3betting the open 'but' it'd be with intentions of 3bet/fold pre to a 4bet (& if villain is calling our 3bet OOP on stacks that size than well.. he's just real bad).
I think once we're getting lower in stack size we should think about what types of spots we're going to be looking for (ie. with a 26bb stack I'm actually typically tightening up a bit... with 15-20bb's I'm looking to 3bai over LP raises (esp. ones who've been raising often in LP.. stealing blinds). w <15bb in most spots I'll be open-shoving but if open-raising it'll always be with intentions of never folding.
