AK Fails me again

Ok im in mid position ther has been no raises, I raise 3x big blind, the button calls,I have Ad,Kd flop is As,3h,Ac, I bet 1/2 pot he calls, Turn comes 7d, I bet 2/3 pot, he calls, River comes 2c, I'm all in, he turns over 2d,2h takes me clean out. AM GUTTED

terrible play by him - nothing wrong with your play IMHO

I may have been tempted to go all-in on the turn as he called the flop - thats about the only thing I would have done different

ok so he may have hit a full on the flop but I dont think you did anything wrong - you were trying not to loose him

staying in with 22 and calling and getting lucky is lame - dont beat yourself up over it - they will get lucky sometimes

Good play by you imho, even though I usually raise 4x big-blind with AK . Probably he would have folded his hand...

thats poker i hate having the winning hand going into the river, always tend to lose, i try and get the hand over b4 the turn. trouble it we probably would of gone all in anyway.

yeah thats a tricky one, maybe an all in bet on 4th street respresenting the aces cos really he never shouldve played it that far with two pair (essentially a pair as the aces were on the table) when he had bottom pair himself. personally i hate being dealt AK, or anna kournikova as i prefer to call it: looks good but rarely wins haha

he had like 10% chance of winning the hand. maybe he thought you were bluffing and that he had the best hand. like they say, you can lead a horse to water but a donkey will follow you all the way to the river.

AK is nice, i think even 22 is better in a all in preflop
