i was in a tournament and i had pkt ace this guy goes all in so i think yes bonus calls him dnt 4get there iz only 5 left in tournament so it was a big chip stack, any way i call him he turns his cards over and he shows 2,4 off suit im thinking yes n1 he flops a full house absolutly gutted
Late in a tourney, I was chip leader and wanted to give people a quick exit, So I raised preflop and put most people at my table in All in. The guy on SB called me.
Flop comes out 9 9 4
And of course I think Im safe now.
I bet the last couple hundreds he had, he calls with 4 7 suited,
Turn is 4
and just to make it clear, river came 4 also.
Its not really a bad beat, but its so annoying when things like that happens, I did only loose a couple 1000's, and I did win that tourney so no biggie really, but at that time I got a little upset I have to admit.
yep its always tough to laydown a big hand - I think easier when theyre all high cards as you start to think the other possibilities are strong chance people wouls play them and get outs -
dangerous but predicable hands to watch for
but with the couple of hands we had - you really find it hard (or I do) to put someone on something so lame and be chasing
on the turn you actually figure its cool if they are as theyre massive underdog and going to pump the pot / pay you off
then they get lucky and man its a real pain
guess the secret is to dust yourself off and keep going - I am definately working at taking down more "safe pots" than getting big hands and playing big
cheers scrawnybob

hey club, sorry to hear bout that, was it a freeroll you were in, if so brings me to my pet peeve about freerolls, poeple play like they have nothing to lose, no-buy in no prob, there'll be another freeroll. for those of us who actually like to "play poker", it can be sooooooooo friggin frustrating. we alao stand a good chance to learn something ( or at least have it reinforced ) that any 2 cards preflop can be beat. so as hard as it might be to fold that great hand, it gives us a new hand to look at.
oh well guys thats poker and it happens even though it did make me feel sick lmao ,there will be others im sure but that aint guna get me down im still guna carry on winning haha tc all
The caller on 27 is a bummer, but every poker player wants to be able to in a hand that gets show down, its on my list for sure lol!
But bad beats are part of poker, we have all done them ourselves haha, and we love it lol!
