Quads versus Running Quads

Although I did not experinces this Beat myself, the worst beat I've seen on-line (pokerroom.com) was when my brother flopped QUAD 10's. The board hit 10-10-3. He check and was raised ALL IN by (somewhat rightfully so, by QQ), only to have Q-Q hit the Turn and River. As my brother said afterwards, "lucky I didn't have $1M in front of me, or I'd be paying down the line of credit for the rest of my life".

thats a hell of a beat - like you said I can see why the QQ went for it but terrible luck for your bro

I think it was John Juanda who said if he was offered 10-1 on a coinflip - he'd bet everything he had

and if he lost - he take the bet again everytime

if the odds are right then its right to make the bet / take the bet

the coinflip is a 2-1 shot, if your getting better odds you should keep making the bet

I've seen that type of thing happen in Stud before but never in Hold 'Em. I dont know what I'd do if that happen to me I'd probably just have to laugh it off coz there is not a lot else you'd be able to do. Nobody anywhere in the world is goin to fold quads to an all-in. And if they did they were prob in cahoots with the other guy lol.

Shame that this site doesnt run a Bad Beat Jackpot like some places coz that prize would have helped ease the pain lol

that is probably one of the worst beats ive heard.... i feel like this happens once a day on fulltilt somewhere, that place loves bad beats

This reminds me of a hand that happend on the 2007 WSOP...

Some guy had 33, another one had 77

The flop came 337 ... all the money went in the middle, only to see the case 7 fall on the river.

Pretty sick...
