Are there bad beats on purpose

I have been playing on multiple sites for awhile now. I consider myself to be an average poker player. By no means do I consider myself to be the best or the worst, but the same thing keeps happening. I start playing on a site, and I win legit. But after a week or so, I can't win at all. I play the same, but I always get beat at the river. Usually by a flush or a straight, when the person who wins only has one flush or straight card in his or her hand. I don't want to believe these sites are fixed, but it happens too consistently to believe otherwise. Any thoughts on this, please feel free to share them.

Yes, its just another way for the sites to make money.

unfortunately it does...especially if the person has a money account with them...they let them win at play chip so they think they can't possibly lose at real money then they keep putting more in.
