Thread: Bad beat at yesterday's freeroll

Default Bad beat at yesterday's freeroll

AFter like 35 people left, finally were getting a full table with poker players, before that it was mostly jsut stealing blinds from persons who were not there.
My chip count wasn't so hgh so I could have use a double up.
I get AA so I am getting very happy, I raise a lil bit and onl one guy follows, the guy with the biggst amount of chips at the table at that moment. Flop is 3 3 6. nothing to wory about so I bet he calls,
turn is a 7, I bet again he calls, river is a 9 this time he bets first enough to put me all in but that was my plan anyway and was already in so much that I allmost had no other choice, so I called.
    Turns out he had 99...
It hurts after 2 hours of tight playing to get kicked out by the river.

maybe you should have bet higher after the flop and turn especially if u had a low stack and he had a big one

yea u def needed to bet more and there would of been a better chance of avoiding that bad beat.

been there, done that, hated it. I don't know, even if you played it differently the guy had enough chips to stay with you. You can't beat the cards. Sorry you got beat. Try to remember those time when you won on the river.

I agree with the previous posts, if the guy with the 9's had a huge stack, he would probably have called you even on a pre flop all in. Pkt A's will only win 8 outta 10 statistically, just your bad luck it was one of the 2. Like the old saying goes, AA wins lots of small pots and loses lots of big ones.
