i was in the fergy last night with 99 and shortstacked and ran into ace king and of course a ace hit on the flop and i was knocked out

99 isnt the best hand, and when your short stacked people should know your desprate. The guy made a good call, AK is a good hand.

Thats not a particularly bad beat, that is a coin flip. As you were short stacked I think most people would have called with any 2 face cards, especially if they were in postition and no one else had called.

I think given the situation he made a good call and it paid out.
I would have called too.
And as someone said, that wasn't even close to being a bad beat.

AK will always make the call... especially if your shortstacked
