verifying a bad beat

I was raised by a guy with ace 4 off and I had Kings....I called ..knowing i was pot committed and the flop came 4 4 jack.......when he pushed what was left in I called ..my King came on the turn and all I heard was what a terrible bad beat HE took.....I think it was redemption from bad play....any thoughts?
