Sometimes I do wonder what goes through a players mind when he decides to call a bet, personally it might be a fly passing through his ears on this occassion. I'm dealt 9 J diamonds so call the blind no one raise so on to the flop Qd 10c 8d so I flopped a striaght, one off a flush & one off a striaght flush. normally I would have check but I just had an urge elimate possible contenders cos my striaght could turn in to flush and it could be beaten so I decide to raise 4 times the blind (800) the only person to call is the chip leader. I would just like to point out I give people their dues if they are a good player I will acknowledge it but in this case it was pure luck this guy is chip leader. So on to the turn 8h. I'm still not worried striaght beats 3 of a kind but I really want him out of the hand now so I throw 1000 chips in to the pot he calls. The river comes down another flamin 8 I'm sunk I know a full house is a possibity he checks I decide not to risk any more chips as he will probably call. Shock horror he has a queen in his hand to give him full house. Winning all the way til the river. Surely it must have crossed his mind I had the striaght from the beginning, he was either brave or a fool my money was on the later from watchin him play.
Well so he called on the flop with top pair, on the turn with top two, and check the river in case u wanted to give him some more money. I dont see anything wrong about that.

I've said it before and I'll say it again some people just have to see all 5 cards go down in the middle before they are ready to give up on a hand......I hate it when that happens. Reminds me of the episode on high stakes poker when Negreanu flops the nuts 3x and he gets turned or rivered all 3x and he absolutely goes mad.....
