How do you remain calm after several bad beats?

Lost a few games recently where I have felt like one of the best players at the table. Playing really good poker and then getting knocked out just before the money. I find it hard to take time after time. I know if I had played bad and gone out, I would only have myself to blame, but when this happens I feel so angry and need to sit in a dark corner to calm down!!

One of the last games I played I made a large raise, got raised all in, and had to call as I had K K. When the guy turns his cards over he has like Q 6. I laugh thinking to my self, you get some right muppets!! The guy then hits 2 pair straight away, and I go down from about 4500 chips to 550. I some how claw my way back up to about 3000 chips. I then see a free flop with J2 as big blind against only one other player. Flop is 2 2 J. Feel like an Angel is looking down on me. Not slow playing anymore. Go all in and get called. Guy turns over JQ and then hits a J on the turn and Q on the river, to get a J Q full house!!!! He overturns odds of about 98% against (without me knowing his cards) and about 94% against with me knowing his cards. I'm out......again.

Feel I'm playing good, but just can't get that luck. Played 30 games recently and my bank roll has only gone up $9 !!!

i keep playing cause but i play 3 rooms at once normally and yeah slow playing is very risky.

i proberley lose with AA twice a day maybe,and yeah sadly ya get used to it, i just carry on try not to get emotional about a badbeat or two

but sometimes if you do push all in pre flop with AA kk youu still get the morons who will call with 92 or some ugly hand and catch turn river or yeah just slow play can be dangerous.

and yeah a break away for a while can help to regain composure an get ya game back on..

and 9 bucks is still 9 bucks dude.. that u could turn into 9k..who knows .. i do know its better than nothing mate.. so dont kick ya self to hard about it, its still profit.. and good luck

i don't stay calm either i get mad and curse not at just to myself here at home i can't stand those rude people who type in lots of nasty things but i usually calm down soon enough

I feel your pain man, that happens a lot to me, especially on internet poker sites, and at the home games I play at too. It's hard to deal with, sometimes you just want to look at someone and ask them what the F were you thinking, but you just gotta try and let it go, its hard to, I can't do it, but take a deep breathe and move on, goodluck
