The worst bad beats I've had have involved the only possible card in the deck coming on the river that allows my opponent(s) to win.

This becomes even more of a problem when the same card makes both yourself and your opponent a good hand on the river. The worst case of this for me was when I had a good hand, then the 9 of diamonds came on the river, improving my hand to a straight, giving another player a flush, and another player a full house (they had pocket 9s). This one card led to a 3-way all-in, which I inevitably lost.

From what I can understand, you were drawing to a straight when the board was paired, this is just not a good idea, as someone may have a full house already, you could be drawing dead and putting money in the pot. The worst beats are when a player needs to hit 2 perfect cards on the turn and river to win, for example, one hand i had, I had KK and the flop was KJJ, turn a J and River a J. The other player had AK and won the pot. Thats a bad beat!

something doesnt make right here, because if there were four jacks (off_4me) on the board , then you both had four of a kind jacks.

Wow that's really harsh. Was that on PokerStars because that seems to be the home of lucky players?

in poker, strange things can happen. Everyone is praying for that one card on the river adn they get it only to realize that everyone playing needed the same card.

That reminds me of a beat I had today, it was heads up and I had A 7 suited, I had 2400 he had 600, we were both in for 50 so the pot was 100. The flop comes 77A, I was like hell yeah. He bets 50, I raise to 150, he raises 300, so I put him all in thinking this games over. He turns over pocket 7's, wtf? Five 7's? Okay just kidding, he actually had AK. Then cam the turn......K, uh oh didn't want to see that, it's okay though he's still done.....River......oh fuck it's another King, that son of a bitch. I hate full tilt, you cock sucker. How the fuck!

That was earlier today, similar beats happened three other times today. i think I'm calling it quits on Fulltilt, they suck ass! These were all in tournies.

Another one today, was this: I had A Q offsuit and the flop came 9 Q A rainbow. I bet 100, he calls. Turn is a 3, I bet the pot 300, he raises like the donkey he is, to 450, I go all in with my remaining 750 to his 1250. He turns over 9 3 and my first thought was why did you even play this hand. Then the river came another 3. And once again I got raped by full tilt.

I swear full tilt makes me a bad poker player, i start playing bad hands because that seems to be the only way to win. I hardly ever win with AK AQ AJ suited or not. Even AA scares me to play, I never trust it on full tilt. The cards play in ways I have never seen any where else.

Anyways, this turned into a long rant, sorry for that. Just steaming a little and needed to vent.

That's one of the unfortunate things about online poker. The random generator decides to dish out some tough beat at the wrong time. Sure this happens in live play, but is a lot worse online. Best wishes on the net.
