Made full house and lost to trash

Late in a tournament I'm up against an agressive player. He raises preflop 4x BB and I just smooth call with AKs trying to trap him. Flop comes a nearly perfect KK3. I came out betting because I wanted it to look like I missed so he would come back over the top. He calls and turn brings another 3. Now unless he has 33 I have the nuts. I bet again and he calls. Now I'm thinking he probably has a small pair or maybe even a 3 since he plays so many hands. River is another three and I bet small again. This time he comes back and reraises me all in which is just what I was hoping he'd do. Then he flips over 83s for quads. Unbelievable. I had him covered but it basically crippled me and might as well have been the knockout punch for my tournament. If I win that hand like I'm supposed to then I become 2nd in chips with 18 players to go.

man that sounds painful - its unreal that someone can make a 4x BB with junk like that - even suited I couldn't see the point - did he have position to bluff / steal ?

just plain crazy - maybe the guy was really really bored of folding - was he on tilt and trying to bully another player / steal the blinds ?

thats impossible you had a k thats 1 king gone 2 kings on the flop thts 3 gone so theres no possible way to lose to quad kings

I think a lot of "players" <(insert derogatory word of choice here)< paly suited cards so often because "they look pretty." I actually had someone tell me that in a live game when his 7-2s cracked my pocket Q. Really upset me. Good thing my gf was there to hold me back, I prolly woulda gotten arrested lol.

No way you could of known it was going to give him the perfect runner runner. You played the hand perfectly to extract chips from him. Can't play it any different and it was JUST DUMB LUCK for the other player.

Unfortunately the more experienced you are the more luck you need against people like that.

Next time the hand will hold and the guy will be scratching his head asking himselkf WHY DIDN'T MY 3 WIN????
