don't slow play flushes

well playin at pokerstars or jokestars i like to call it sometimes i have ace 2 of diamonds in the big blind its checked to me blinds are 50/100 i have about 3k in chips flop comes 6d 7d 10d so i flop the nuts besides a str8 flush. i check guy bets 300 i just flat call behind 2 other players next card comes 7c so now theres a pair on board i come out betting this time just in case i bet 600 and one guy calls river comes 7 s guess what now theres trips on board and my beauitful nut flush that i flopped is not looking soo good now guy goes all in i fold he shows his king 6 not too impressed

thats poker as they say, what can you do? just because of one bad suck out though, doesnt mean you should always just never slow play big hands, because you want to maximize the value out of each hand and you cant do that by being to aggressive when you flop big hands like that, your not always going to get sucked out on like that everytime. and besides sometimes you have to gamble, dont let one hand scare you away from playing slowly

sometimes slowplaying flushes will work but most of the time bet big not too big but bet a decent amount some will fold, but the thing to know is there are ppl that will call with anything but there will be more than 1 tourney so jus keep ya head high n buck up....

It always a gut decision to slowplay big hands...Ace high flush slowplaying is usually a pretty good idea considering most random flops and such...but sometimes you have got to end it all on the turn or push it in to force a fold.Better luck next time mate
