I even find it harder to loose in situations like that in tournaments
You play for hours and then that a situation kick you off the tournament
and you cannot see that the other with his set and so full house
wins against your trip
But 800 Dollar ist a huge amount of money - therefore I only play until 300
Because you never know
and I donnot have the nerves at that level of money
He flopped trips GNK trips are when you hold one of the three cards in your hand its trips. If you hold 77 and hit a 7 on the flop you have a SET.just thought i'd clear that up for everyone.Trips and a SET are two diffrent type holdings
I always "used" trips in both situations.
I didn't know this difference. It is good for being able to extend the vocabulary.
Technically thats not a bad beat seeing as how you were never ahead in the hand. Terrible way to lose though. and that much money makes it all the more shitty
mansion poker 2$+50 tournament 1500$ price pool , i was in the final table and got the rockets i raised preflop like 2500 and two guys called the flop comes out 8h 10h jh i had one ace of hearts and top pair obviously so i bet a strong bet one guy folds the other just calls the turn was a 3h i hit my flush ace high i bet again and he calls the river was 2 of spades i go all in the guy hits a straight flush in the flop 9h q h bye bye finished 5 and cashed 50$.
I was playin in the WPT 600 event down in foxwoods when this situation came up...I had been at the table with this guy for about 2 hours and noticed he was pretty loose I had taken some chips frm him when he called down a board of k10 2 j 6 I had ak he had kq i had made pretty standard bets through the entire hand 4x BB raise preflop, pot size bet on flop, 1/2 pot on turn he just smooth called evry1, chk chk on riv i win and was surprised at his calls....so anyway now we get to the hand in question.....we both have a little more than ave stacks...i am on the button he is 1st position after BB blinds r at 100/200 we get 5 limpers so I raise it up 1500 to go....he calls evry1 folds...i have aces btw....my raise i really just wanted to take down the pot rifght there....I hate aces lol.....any way the flop comes
q85....gr8 flop right??? there is about 3500 in the pot so i make it 5000 to go leaves me with about 7500 in chips.....he comes over the top and im like shit....set or did he grab top pr and thinlks he is best.....like i said i had played w him for over 2 hrs and my read suggested aq kq etc....with no preflop raise frm him etc....anyway i decided to casll he had called my initail raise w 55 and hit the set oh well.......gotta lay down some big 1's to win the big1's.....like i said i h8 aces earlier in that tourny i got lucky w them....me aa BB, 3rd seat riases,6th seat reraises, i shove, 1st raiser folds, 6th seat calls aa vs 88 flop q86 i am liike son of a bitch lol turn saves me ace woo hoo..anyway the pkts can be tricky.....thnx for listening
heres the situation. Extremely annoying, loudmouth, loose-aggressive player keeps going all in every hand and winning with complete trash. I call one of his all-ins with QQ, he has K6. Flop comes J J J, I flopped a boat, and the only thing that can get me is a King, right? Wrong. Turn comes Jack. So now we both have 4 of a kind, but he has a King kicker. Sickening.
YA...he stuck around with the 55.....loose player...it was a 2/5 game and the preflop raise was too 25...with one caller b4 him
i know what you mean 5s seem to have a tenancy to do that check this one out

Is AA getting beat by 22 a bad beat? because if it is I have officially been badly beaten. It is tough when you feel so dominating then that lil duece comes out to crush your hopes and dreams.
