AA vs A3

In a tournment recently I hit the beloved Aa ( but not beloved to me bcz I have a terrible luck with it) . Anyway, when it came to my turn I bet the pot ...I was call raised to all in by 1 player ..the cards flop over my AA vs A3 off suit ok so this guy im thinking doesnt have a chance unless he catches 33 ( highly unlikely) The flop hits 254 ...yes a str on the flop, and the rest was history lol .Ended my day early.

either he was trying to bluff you or he didnt care if he lost a chunk of his chipstack.

always hurts to lose with AA especially when your opponents holds an Ace in his hands.

Happened to me last night in a live torunament, only I had enough chips to get of the ropes, a little rope E dope for a few levels and I was back in business

I see it a lot live, dont make the call to cheep with a Monster Pokect. You can only get in with the best hand anyway....

good advice thanx but it wasnt a cheap call the blinds was done high enough up that beting the pot was a quite substanial bet

Well, concerning this situation i would say the guy with A3 is a jerk, a natural gambler. Gamblers catch luck sometimes but you should not be confused about it and get upset much. Such things happen in every tourney I play and most of them are much worse. Actually I wouldn't call AA vs A3 a very bad beat. It's very unpleasent of course but not very bad. What's bad is when you lose with Full House or Nuts Flush or smth else, when you have great odds for winning.
