You just got knocked out by a loose player. An all-in reraise should have signaled strenght to him. He probably though tyou were making a move on the pot. With it being early in the tourney, that's a spot where a fold should have occured. A lot of looser players play at those limits, so good luck in the future. If possible, give an account of the play going on at the table before this hand.

Default unlucky but

hi

that was unlucky but

(probably contraversally) I dont agree with your preflop re-raise all-in with QQ

the blinds are 10/20 he raises by 140 in early position with no callers before him

at this stage in the game you all have very limited information on each other - so I wouldnt rule out a very valid strong hand anymore than not ruling our a loose aggressive player wanting to dominate the table early on

It's worth remembering that he has your chips covered 3-2 so an all-in move by you is going to affect you the most either negatively or positively - he would survive either way

Maybe I can be a scaredy cat sometimes but I would at least be thinking he could have AA or KK or KA - classic over raising hands for some players

to re-raise back all-in (personally) I think is a bad move preflop with QQ

your risking 1000 odd chips

a) to potentially pick up 140 if he folds ... thus wasting a good hand when you could win more

b) potentially losing all of your chips if he calls with KK or AA ... thus going out when you could stay in

GT will give you a Q & M of it all

but I would say the downs of going all-in preflop in this position outweigh the upside

better to have called and then seen the flop and played it from there ... it might not have changed a thing but I think you potentially put you head on the board a bit too early

cheers scarwnybob

*** HOLE CARDS ***

Dealt to leet222 [Qd Qs] ---------->QQ= 72% pre flop;-

http://www.badbeatornot.com/

JonasQuinn23: folds
fulton31: folds
wrightystuff: raises 140 to 160 ------> Villain Green Zone: rasies 13% chip stack, or 5 x combined blinds.

(NB* note I like a few others have started raising in proportion to a relationship to the COMBINED blinds NOT in relation to the BB, idea going around some LIVE Poker Seminars in Europe at the moment)

kilted fello: folds
brokerald: folds
PokerBozzie: folds

leet222: raises 900 to 1060 and is all-in -------->I think this has to be, with this chip stack the most efficient move

QQ 72.1% v A9o 27.5% Bad Beat or not - Free poker odds calculator for Texas Holdem

alfie181106: folds
spud180974: folds
wrightystuff: calls 900 --------> its a bit early for M&Q to make a difference in the thinking and calculation of this hand.

Now some times early, the money just goes allin, nothing you could do about it.

So Villian Raises, Hero Re-Raises ( rightly) Villian calls with our old Fav Ace-Rag off. Is it GOOD play by the Villian...For Me NO, Now I have to say here I am a member of a web site ( That I pay for information) and 05/06/08 It says in Stars 9s,on the above date. are HOT. This site tells you whats hot and cold in every poker site on the web in real time, and NO I am not giving any one the address out. sorry its INVITE ONLY.

Not a lot more can be said that as not already been scripted in the thread.

i agree with not pushing preflop. pushing preflop is for shortsacks and players who can't play postflop poker. clearly, your opponent has goal in a tournament: double up or move on to the next tournament. he sees an ace and figures its worth the shot. there are plent of players out there who play the same way (not that i'm one of them).
