on poker.com I was playing a 10$ NL Tx Hold'em torney and had AA two behind the button
with blinds at 50 and 100 with 20/50 players left I was so happy when some1 raised to 400 and then to top it off another guy went over the top all in I off course called and the other guy called 1 guy had A J the other guy had A K and i was way in front with the A A the flop came 8J8 which made my % go down a little then the turn came a 3 which was great A J was 5% and A K was 0% but on the river it was a Jack which knocked me out of my torney
interestingly when the flop came J88 it helped your odds(marginally). Assuming there were no flush draws, the elimination of any good straight opportunity (anything but running Q-10 is gone) leaves the only thing you have to fear is a J, a 2 outer. Your odds went from ~86 to around 88 or 89. Not a bid deal, and it doesnt change the fact that you got screwed, but just an idle comment
to me i see this live alot as well aa gets beat almost a quarter of the time it gets played
usually by a hand that you feel should not have even called the blinds
really the good pros say the a j positions should have been folded with the action in
front of him but some player see and ace as almighty and invinceable especially when
they have a high kicker..it is unfortunate that that happened to you
