this one hurt!!!
ok im a small time player witch means i frequent the free rolls. this beat is not only the worst i think ive ever seen but it was followed by one almost as bad. first last night i was playing the $500 guaranteed freeroll at bodog. just twenty or so people out of the money i was sitting on about 27k. i was dealt ace 5 with the big blind. i check to see the flop come A 5 A. there were only 4 of us in the pot and the first guy puts in 1600(BB). second guy raises to 3200, third guy folds. now at this point ive seen what CAN happen so rather than get greedy i figure ill go all in a take the pot witch is about 10k thinking no one will call, but even if they do i cant really be beat. guy one folds but guy two calls with pocket K's. then as im doing my happy dance bc ill soon have over 60k the turn and river come K K giving him 4 of a kind!!!!!
then this morning in another $500 tourny i was two away from the money. blinds are 800 and 1600 i was dealt Ad,10d, so i limp in. the flop comes 3d,Qd,8c. one guy bets 1600 and everyone folds around to me i felt i should raise but not wanting to over commit myself this close to the cash i just call. the turn hits me 10d.yes!!!!! he then goes all in. i happily calland he turns pocket 3's. i think i have it in the bag only two see the river bring a second ten pairing the board and giving him the full house. should i have played either of these diff. or am i just really, really unlucky at the moment?

We've all been there
Sorry about your misfortune, but it happens to everyone who plays the game.It seems that these misfortunes tend to happen alot more often in the freerolls though, which tends to make alot of people think that the cards aren't coming randomly like they are supposed to.On the other hand, when you play thousands of hands your going to encounter the weird hands you might never see in a live game.
