Just finished 104th on the 4kingpoker freeroll on Titan. Man, am I frustrated... A very loose player with the nick mariusinho10000 was sitting to my left, he was in almost every pot, playing too loose for his own good, and at a certain point I found myself looking down at a pair of kings. I thought well, let's trap the guy and double up! I just prayed for no ace to show up on the flop, and my prayers were answered : Q-3-4. He bets half of the pot or so. I thought this is great, I have him trapped! So I push. He insta-calls and shows Q-9 off-suit. Just when I thought I had him, he rivers out another 9. Two pair beats one pair, and he had me covered so I was knocked out...
Though I played the hand correctly, and I know it was a suckout, it still hurts pretty bad. A little part of me dies inside every time I experience something like that.
Congratulations vipstefanvip, at one moment I've had 100 chips and I've been very lucky, so I don't blame you for this little bad
Exactly that's poker Nice tournament for me (and for you too as I can see)
Guess what happened to me today at Carbon? We're at the final table and we're in the money. I'm in third place. I look down and see pocket aces. The chip leader sitting to my right raises the pot to a $1,000 so I go all-in on him and he calls. We show our cards. He has two black kings and I have two red aces. I'm feeling good. The flop come with three clubs and the turn yet another club. I didn't even get rivered. He hits his flush and I bust out.
I don't if it will alleviate you but I just kick him with QQ against KT.. I think that at his tournament i the luckiest player, that's affraid me..
Well then, thanks for avenging me, I saw this guy finished 50th or so, so I'm glad his bad play wasn't rewarded with any cash.
About the bad beats, it's poker, sometimes you win with a worse hand, sometimes you lose with a good one. It's just a shame that some of us lose more times with good hands than they win with them. Bad beats are especially painful because they're not mistakes, you don't get punished for your bad play. Instead, you get punished for correct play and the opponent gets rewarded for bad play. But I guess that's what's so great about poker: even if you hold the best hand, you still haven't won.
I think it's that the difficulty of poker, I had heard a lot of noob thinking they played well because they have win something, with a lot of luck.. Playing well at poker just give you more chance to win but the worst with a lot of luck can wxin too.. So to progress you mustn't only look the hand you have loose, but also the one you have win to progress, and no only for thinking that you are the best (that's what I do sometimes )
