Scott, I suppose the simple answer would be 'as much as you can afford to lose'
Don't over stretch yourself, that way each game you play will be fun without the fear of going bust! Hope this helps. Have fun

Depends on how much you can afford and also how long you have played. If you can use some experience try some freerolls first.....Good luck at the tables.

Basically what timnicebutdim said. What limits do you intend to play. If you are a total beginner I would suggest maybe 15 to 20 times the buy in at the lowest stakes. Also do some freerolls at the same time to help get a hang of things.

Every poker site has a minimum deposit requirement. All sites i have made a deposit on was for the minimum, i'm by far not the best OL poker player but i feel that if you use proper BR management as i am, that only one deposit is all you should ever need. If you find yourself having to make multiple deposits, maybe OL poker is not for you. As far as FRs go if you ever want to cash out you will eventually have to make a deposit anyway.

Id recommend about 100$ and start grinding 10nl and 1$/2$ tourneys. I did deposit 50$ and now that there are the micro tables it can be an option but i think in those tables u are not going to learn a lot about about the game.
I want more FTP SERIES !!! PLEASE !!

If you are new, the minimum. Play the lowest stakes to learn.

The reason I say that, is to minimize your loses while your learning. If you bust the BR, then you need to learn more about the game before you redeposit. If you cannot beat the lower stakes, your not going to beat the higher stakes.

Freerolls are good to learn basics if you just have no clue how to play, while micro stakes are loose etc... they are still not taking as many risks or being as stupid as they are in the freerolls.

There are many sites with more material than you will ever be able to absorb on strategies and so forth, use them and your pocketbook will thank you.

    Good luck at the tables.

Do not forget about the deposit bonus. If you are thinking about depositing $50 or $100, and the site will match $100...go for it.

You search your poker room, many different in the poker room. You will feel this which room is your. I think you play first freeroll on the room! You learn to try TAG and LAG.
Learn more read poker book, read forum, watch poker video, see hand test.
If you make depo just play Microcash game and SnG.
Important you how to mange your bankroll. BR is your future!

Hello Szcott. Your question is vague.
How many poker sites do you plan on depositing at?
I suggest checking out a few poker sites before depositing on any.
Also, make sure you can get rakeback from the sites you deposit on.
This is more important than a bonus in the long term.
There is an exception that I am aware of: Pokerstars does not offer rakeback.

    Good luck!
