    Question Rakeback sites

Hi I just heard about rakeback sites. Does anyone have any advice about them? are they legit? which are best to use? I play on FT and someone told me I have to be a new player when using the rakebacks so I'm going to start playing on another site but want to see which site/rakeback site makes most sense to get most back.

    any thoughts/advice?

    thanks
    Marc

    Default 4kingpoker offers rakeback at

    hi

if you are a big raking player then PM me and I will see what other sites I can offer that your not already signed up with

in the case of several of these sites all our signups have been moved onto rakeback - on some of the others it will be based on how much players are actually raking - generally PM me if your a player that plays enough to warrant rakeback

as rakeback comes under bonuses etc - although the payment processing is handled by the poker room - rakeback is actually paid for by the affiliates mostly and not by the rooms - so recommending other competing sites is not allowed on the forum

so any posts suggesting other rakeback sites WILL be deleted

Rakeback sites are quite legitimate. If you are a cash game player you would be silly to not have a deal. There are lots of sites that you can just google.I would post links but I think 4king would think that I was spamming

I have 1 at Full Tilt,2 deals with Ipoker,1 with cake network and 1 at Entraction and it makes a pleasant addition to the monthly figures.
You are only getting back a bit of what you contribute, look at your PT figures to see how much the sites take from you

Default iPoker does NOT allow rakeback

    hi

    couple of points

    * rake is NOT something sites "take" from players IMHO - rake is their way of rightly getting profit from their inestment and providing a service (rakeback is also not imho a right or something players should expect) - all businesses need to make a profit

    * I would be careful - while I dont offer rakeback at a couple of sites I would like to (because they make it near impossible for smaller sites)

I know that iPoker does NOT ALLOW rakeback on the network - period

so if you have a RB deal with a site for an ipoker room its very under the table and very much something you could loose if they shut the affiliate down

on ipoker sites they have VIP programmes within the rooms - but dont allow promotion of RB or a RB programme by the affiliates - so be careful

some sites / networks allow rakeback - some strictly do not

We only do rakeback on 100% approved 100% admined by the poker room after agreeing to have a very much reduced commission for this to happen - IMHO this is the only safe way to offer rakeback to players (otherwise you might only get RB for a short period before the affiliate gets thrown out by the room and there goes your RB)

    Default rake is NOT tax

    hi

    rake is NOT a tax

poker rooms are not charities - they are there to make money & profit ... that is the rake

giving rake back either comes out of the affiliates pocket or the affiliates pocket and the poker rooms ... both the affiliate and the poker room are businesses ...

with costs to cover before evn making a profit

tax is tax - a charge made by government on business or individuals

rake is charge by poker business but is no different to buying a can of beans at walmart where they unsuprisingly expect to charge more than it costs them to produce the beans

using the same logic - I think its ok if someone is buying beans in bulk to ask walmart for a bulk discount for being a proven regular large customer ... say 10% discount or 30% discount

but IMHO the problem with rakeback is everyone seems to think they "deserve" it ... I'm pretty sure that going into walmart wanting one can of beans and wanting a 30% discount would make them laugh ...

also they wouldnt see their 50% markup (or whatever it is) on a can of beans as a tax - its just their markup which they then have to get all their other costs out of before making a profit

    just my 2p
