Alright, well after spending about a half an hour trying to figure out a snappy title, i've decided to give it up.

My names Mikey, but online im known as theoryz. Im a beginner here at 4kingpoker, but a long time poker player. I thought it a good idea for my introduction to be in this thread.

I've been playing poker since I was four, at least thats what my father says. The first time I remember playing was in a smokey room in the back of a strip club where my dad and a couple of my uncles worked as bouncers, in Memphis TN. I remember all the booze and drugs and half naked women more than the actual game, but I still remember.

After that I was playing whenever I had the chance, participating in my first REAL MONEY game with a few of my dads brothers when I was eight. Some how, with the money my grandma gave me for painting her porch chairs, I took the win and boy were they pissed.

Years later I got locked up for stealing a house boat in florida and while incarcerated, really started getting into Texas Hold'em. I bought into my first game with the two envelopes the jail gives you every week, when your indigent, and lost. It took me a good two months to start winning more than I lost. After a while I started playing in their $5-$10 commissary tounaments, and cashing in almost everyone. Within a year my locker, as well as my bunky, was stuffed full of chips, honey buns envelopes and everything else you could buy within that concrete jungle. Then I was free, and the fun was over.

When I was released I quickly made some fast cash and went traveling around the country for a year, ending back up in Cincinnati where I was born. I have a few Casinos around so when Im not paying off pawn tickets and child support, for a baby thats not mine, im over there bustin ass. Lately I havent had the wheels so Ive been on full tilt quite a bit.

I've met a few pros in my short life, no more than a hand shake though, and i've lost my fair share of cash. Ive seen the worst of the worst bad beats, and incredible comebacks. I've seen seven deuce crack pocket aces over and over again. Ive even seen a half asleep, drunk crack head, win a $40,000 tournament. Hes my brother.

Anyways, long story short, I like to play poker and I hope being apart of 4kingpoker benefits me, as I hope to it's members as well.

Welcome ot the forum and it looks like you've had on hellava run on the felt. Hope that you keep it up going forward. Continue to get better and soak up some knowledge and even pass some along to others.

That's what is crazy about calling this game a sport. If you can get the cards, even a drunk can take first place. Not many sports can a person do that.
