Sounds like you're 'projecting' there Tom. I've actually helped many players on forums, with posts, & by helping to steer them towards info. they might be interested in. I also stake & coach some micro players (incidentally all of whom are showing a profit online & even having 'FUN', lol).
Maybe if you read my post from above with a different outlook you'd see that there is also some value to it for the intended party... even though if you've read through their posts (all of them).. you would see they are all in regards to bashing a poker site, claiming they cheat, they're rigged etc. My post explains some of my experience & suggests to OP that spending any time at all fixating on badbeats is simply a waste of time. At best the negative energy one will get from it will actually hamper their play whether they know it or not. You seem to have read otherwise???
If you happen to read over your own post here.... gee.. aren't you actually doing to me what you claim I do to everyone else???
You then suggest for me to 'play my own game'.... but aren't you the player who was on the final 4 of Fulltilt tourney & were the one who was commenting in chat telling others that their calls were really bad (when in fact their call was very good... not that that makes a difference at all). You weren't even in the hands you were commenting on... I could perhaps understand if you were 'in' the hand & the 'bad'(<?) call caused you to lose a hand (as in... in the heat of frustration you felt the need to comment).. BUT it was nothing of the sort >>>> instead you were commenting on other's play & you weren't involved in the hand at all. I felt the need to defend the others on the table at the time... maybe you could ask them if they found this offensive?
Sorry OP for de-railing your thread here. Just felt odd that Tom would feel it necessary to attack me on here but am pretty sure its due to the scenario I described above. (Tom.. maybe in future you can just continue to send me hate mail instead of de-railing other's threads?).
OP... I could post some HORRENDOUS beats from today's play.... but what would be the point aside from a bit of humour? (ie, I reraised to 7x preflop with KK otb, to a utg limp & utg+1 call, 40/80 blinds, $10 - 45plyr. sng....utg calls pre with Q9o. Flop K-Q-4,.. Utg checks, I bet out POT (knowing he's a loose caller.. also two clubs on board and with 2 broadways I must charge them to call if sitting with AJ, etc.)...he calls... turn comes a 'J'... I have a little over a pot-sized bet left in my stack so I shove it allin.... Utg calls with a gutter & flopped MPmK, he snapcalls for almost entire stack... and of course the river's a 10 for the win, lol). <<< there's no point though to write about this stuff.... aside from having a laugh at it. Sure there are times when you'll have bad runs & have this stuff happen at crucial times & take a major downswing. Part of learning to become a better player is learning how to deal with this stuff... how to brush it off, etc. If you're getting it in good.... way to go!!Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"

With the money the sites make in rake it would be stupid for them to have anything rigged. Risking the credibility of the site is not worth knocking someone out of a tournament.
Most good players are just able to turn, and laugh at players who use the inability to see the cards dealt as an excuse. You have the 2+2 plague. You have to rip on players for any reason you can. You are really classy. You attempt to rip on me for my 1 comment, and yet you come on her and make nothing but derogatory statements. Go play more poker. This is my last post. Your a voice recorder....you have nothing new to say.
I guess since your able to hide behind your computer there is no repercussions for your poor attitude towards people.
My FTP name, yes it shows a -ROI...I only play larger field MTT's games there. I grind on other sites. UB shows a 90% ROI last time I checked, along with Cake showing a pretty decent ROI.
BTW All I made was one comment about another players play, and you could not keep your orifice shut about it. I still cannot believe he called with 99 there. When it came down to it, it lost. It was not smart play because of the fact that its almost always a race. With a little edge it was not worth risking an assumed cash for 3x or 4x more than what he made.
Next time someone makes a comment, you should mind your own business. Your defending a play that lost, whether or not he had the EV to call.Last edited by TomtheBomb; 03-02-2010 at 03:04 AM.
Perseverance, Passion, and Patience.
Time is only a function of probability.

My team only played for 2 seasons, and we actually won.
Check your ego at the door, and mind your own business.

Geez, funny as hell quote there referring to Monopoly. Remember when you had to take a whizz and you knew your little bro was going to steal some of your money? So you count it before you go, and call him out on it when you get back. Not like Scrabble where you could take your rack with you. My little bro was a micro genius, he claimed to be able to see my cards in the reflection of a wallplate when we played Rummy 500. We would gamble on almost anything to get a dime from one another.
Here's my point - I believe you when you say somebody's got an angle. Somebody's always looking for an angle to gain an advantage over you. The level of 'house advantage' changes with the level of money. I wouldn't be surprised if the house had a way of gaining its' own advantage. But the house cannot control everything, at every level.

Actually you're down ~$400 on Fulltilt (if that's actually your sn).
Never heard of any 'good' players who ever profess online sites to be rigged. I guess you're the exception.
Tks for your great contributions to the forum. Where'd you come from? Is there a reason you left??Brad Booth - > "Like a fight... it's not how you start, it's how you finish"
