Default Do you really makes money ?

    Hello,
my first post here! I like this forum,
any ways I been playing on ps for 5 months, I love to play there, but I always loose and
deposit more money! Maybe the way I play! But I am getting better everyday, so my question is, anyone here actually makes Any money playing on pokerstars? Or lose more? Just a simple question.
I know I have to learn more and more!
    2nd question!
What's the best poker software I can use to play on pokerstars?pokeroffice? Poker edge? I don't know, there is too many! But would like to get the most used program!

I love poker! my wife hates poker! So I'll be here more often, for more advice.

    Thanks
    matt

Welcome to the forum. We can't tell you what to do to win, but yes, some of the players here are winning players so you have things to learn.
Read the topics, use the search function.
The best thing you can do is post a hand you played that you think was weird or don't understand what you did wrong and we can analyze it together.

Be careful with the programs you are using! Pokerstars is very strict about people having an unfair edge. Read THIS first!

The following are examples of tools and services which are prohibited at all times:

    Hi Sm,
i started profiting in poker within months are starting around 5 years ago also with great consistency on william hill and then on fulltilt playing mainly single table sit n gos. But hit a looooooong blip when playing on pokerstars and for the life of me i have no idea y 4 years after playing i started losing...so much for practice making perfect.

I have started play cash on regular basis for the first time and i am profiting and a steady pace and long may it continue.

Personally learning from experience panels the life out of any book i have read they make hands sound so definate when that is not the case...like king said post hands and pple will add there opinion but hopefully unlike me the more u play the more profitable u will be

    GL with it

Welcome to the forum.I am fairly new here also but as for your question so far i have made money playing, not much but still better then losing right? when i first started i made deposits ( the very minimum) at like around 20 rooms and the only one i have ever had to deposit again into so far has been 2, Ultimate Bet and Poker Nordica, the rest all show a profit so have hope.

Winning on pokerstars does appear to be harder at the low stakes level as so many more people play there. Overall I'm ahead there but not by much and I've not had much luck there recently so don't play as much.

I've found other sites better where the fields are smaller and recently took down a big win at PKR, but they are not available in the USA

If you're planning on playing WSOP, you might have more knowledge than most of us as only few of us already took a chance to play in it.
Which tournament will you play? Main Event or a cheaper one?
For team games you'll have to first reach 10 posts and then ask for a team to join in dedicated thread. I'm sure you'll find one soon. No collusions are allowed in our team games. Reading rules is a must do.
To tell the truth, i find it hard to believe that you plan on becoming a full time poker player without years of study and practice.
Check out the ressources made by Scrawnybob, it might be a useful read for you.

WOW, thats a big stretch to go from a post asking people if they ever won any money because you keep losing your roll at stars to joining the WSOP, lol......I wish you all the luck in your challenge

Well, yes I do pretty good playing live! Stars been unlucky. I have tried to play best as I can , but even when you have solid cards, most of the time river beats me to the lucky fisher man! So I think being a bait to stars fisher man, I rather play live.So I figure that I can use the money playing stars to buy into big events. But even though stars being unlucky, I still like to play there. As hard I tried to play small games, I am always put myself into the sharks tank! Anyways thanks for the heads up!

    Thanks

    Lightbulb 90% are losers

There are no clear facts from the industry, but a statistic I've come across a few times on various forums is that 90 per cent of players online are losers in the long term.
