Default tourneys vs freeroll

im not new to the game but the rules seem to be changing. i am enjoying freerolls less and less. for the first half hour its a joke. but my question is, and will probably help out newcomers to, is how different is your approach to freerolls differ from your approach to real money tourneys? other than the obvious, ones free and ones paid for, why the difference if any?

In the very few occasions that i play freerolls my play for the first hour is a hell of a lot tighter than it would be usually because there are a ton of people who think 'well its free to play so i'll just go all-in every hand in the hope to build up a huge stack, and if it doesnt come off then its not bad coz i havent spent any money'.

The first hour tends to be a crapshoot!! THen it starts to quiet down after the first hour!

Agreed.

The first hour or so you only play AA KK QQ and maybe AK. Generally you'll catch one of these hands once or twice, and I'd just push all-in. You can probably get an idiot to call you with KT. After the first hour, the play becomes a bit more legit. But keep in mind that bluffing still loses some of its value even late in the tournament.
