It depends do you want a site that has 6,000 players on average or one that has 60,000 players on average?do you want varies tournies and games or just a selected few?
for beginning I think the best sites are the small ones like Pitbull, Dracula or Pacific or Cake also. There are easier opponents than on bigger sites.
Kesza is correct if you are just begining then i would go for a small site with limited players. This will make your chances of playing with donks much lower then a place like pokerstars. The trick is to work small and always work your way up
For a beginner id strongly recomend Bodog. The rake is capped at .10 at $10 cash tables.(This is a huge deal compared to most sites)
Also they have beginner $2.20 sit and gos that pay 5 out of 10 players.(very easy to cash just by playing ABC poker)
They also have I think 3 freerolls a day, 2 $500 and one $1k(these are not standard freerolls they are free to enter but you can rebuy, and add-on, oviously i wouldnt recomend that though),Not to mention the private freerolls you can enter if your a member of certin poker forums.
On the bad side there deposit bonus is pretty weak.
