Many great responses different ideas and approaches, just like our many different styles of play! Recently I had to re-think a lot of my choices and broke down and
read a few "stradegies and tips" articles" online. I was only getting so far in the
MTT's I was playing and getting really frustrated at the results. So, I played 2 trnys
using this new approach I came up with after studying. Upon taking some advice and altering really 1 little thing in my play, I finished 2 spots out of the money on a lower priced trny of around 1400 entrants and finished in the money at 36th out of almost 500, which pay me enought to cover both trnys and then some! The one change? All I did was apply patience. Yep, I just sat back, watched the style of play of the others at my table and waited....... for decent hands. Then I made my hands apparent by betting 2-3 times the BB on preflop and following that with strong flop and turn bets. Rarely did we even get past the flop or turn and my river showdown stats(usually around 37-40%) were over 70% for the trny I cashed in. I got lucky here and there, but a bad beat kept me from finishing much higher in both trnys. There is a lot more luck involved than most will admit, but having a good approach and a little confidence really helps a lot. But most of all, be patient and don't get MAD!!! It's a killer
Thanx again everyone and let's hear what ya think about that!

p.s. Well everyone, check this out! Right after I posted this thread I went to FTP (where I play 99% of the time) and got into a $3.00 + $.30 MTT. I used my new
patience method and kept calm and all that. Yeah, fairy tale ending, I finished 1st
and collected over $98 !!!! It was a 6 man table trny, which I like because it cuts down the odds on others drawing out on you a little. I must attribute a good portion
of my success to luck, sucked-out a few times to win moderate-big hands, but over all I think waiting for decent-good starting hands helped a lot. Any additional thoughts on this subject would be very cool.
Thanx again!
