Im like candy licker most the time, but at times it depends on how the table seems to be playing if weve been there awhile, and how the others if they been there for a bit been playing, Ive had AA several times and ended up getting my butt kicked. But Ive also had several oppertunities to to take out those who decide to go all in on nothing after the flop, or the one who went all in after i checked instead of bet before the flop.
Sweetttttttt
But the sweetest to get is the one whos been bullying the table and cant seem to fold anything, then catch him so to say with his pants down. Haha
Well, it never fails..... after all this great stuff on what to do with those wonderful "A,A's"
check this out. (And the really cool/ironic way it mingles with the only other thread I've done....."Trash Talking!...lol) So, I'm starting this little ol' tourney a week or so back, you know, no biggie, a $3.00 + .30 6-man tables... about 150-180 players. Been busy and gettin' a little tired. Probably playing too many at once again(bad habit!). Hadn't played too many hands, 10-12, still gettin' the "feel", ya know? And Boom! those little red A's!. I remember being in mid-position and I WAS finishing up a little sit-n-go at the same time, but anyway I limped in and only got one taker.....BB I'm pretty sure. Nothing odd on the flop, no set for me, but nothing to threaten my A's either. This other guy's betting, so I just tag along...... waiting.....hee hee. Well, it couldn't have been better as he improved(he thought!) on the turn (paired his K)and the river(?), but it wasn't near enough and I pushed in a bit more at the river and then all-in after his river bet..........and he called. Busted out and then...........
YEAH!!! He starts ragging me for slow-playing my aces!!!!! He got fooled really bad by a so-so player who's tired and not really paying that much attention and he's the VICTIM!!!!!!!!!!!!
Har-dee-har-har!! Yep, he sat there "watching" for a while letting me know how bad I was and that poker is being "ruined" by players like me, etc. etc.....
I might've felt bad if I had sucked-out after staying in too long.....
or gotten mad at his "lunacy", carrying on and all.....but....... I did slick him pretty damn good and besides.....
I had all his chips too.........lol
so....
whatever works, big pre-flop for a small win, or risky business for a larger pot...
your choice....YOUR SKILLS!
but I will add this, listening to a moron's B.S. is MUCH easier while your "stacking up HIS
chips in YOUR pile"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think patience is key...... to most of it anyway
So, I'm playing in this $10 tourney at Cake.Poker(pretty nice) and I'm doing well, sitting
no. 1 and the cards are actually cooperating. I'm positioned next to the button, who just so happens to be in 2nd place at this time. I get dealt K, Q of hearts and by the time it comes to me no one else has come in. So, I'm in....... and the small blind next to me raises and then the big blind re-raises and by now it is a very nice pot........well I had a "feeling" and I know better about that, but I go all-in anyway. And we show....they both have pocket AA!!!! But before I can panic or puke here comes the flop............. rag, Q, Q!!!!! I flopped a set and neither one of them could improve! I don't have any idea what the odds of that could possibly be, and frankly WHO CARES!!!!!! I creamed 'em, got a 5-1 lead on the field and coasted on to take 2nd(screwed up in heads-up), collected $60 for that and another $45 for 9 k-o's @ $5 ea.(I didn't even know about those 'til after!), so it was a very nice little session. And, all I can really say about it is, if it wasn't for those 2 poor guys I slicked, I doubt VERY much that I would have had the same amount of success. So, I have to say it... I LOVE AA!!!!!!!!!! Whether I have it or you do, we are gonna have some fun one way or another!!!!!
You need to raise at least 3x the big blind, if not more. If you are lo stacked get them all out there. Never just call and try to spring a surprise on the river because you'll be beat by a Q 10 or something marginal that drew out.
I always enjoy seeing AA but oftentimes I hate playing them. For me it all depends on who's at the table. Table with ppl I have never seen before I alwyas raise pre. The more ppl in the hand the worse off you are as odds speak. I might limp aces once in a blue moon, flat call if there was a nice enough boost to the pot before me.
i think if ur gonna limp u gotta make sure u limping early wait for someone to raise and then reraise preflop. going to flop with aa and a lot of people is dangerous
If i havve AA and the opponent have 66 and hit his 6 for a set on the flop its not normaly posible to know that and you pb will go bust. But if i raise a lot pre flop and someone call, i should atleast think he has some desand hand.
If the flop brings 2 Queens or jacks you should atleast consider the posibility of you opponent hiting 3 of a kind. If this guys a lose player you pb cant tell, but if he has played tight like hell and suddely reraise and trip raises you the thaought 3 of a kind should atleast cross your mind.
